Cubs Commonwealth Games
Thursday saw a last minute change of venue as the weather closed in and moved the Cubs Commonwealth Games to the Cathedral School.
What an evening we opened welcoming our newest members to the Worldwide Family of Scouts with our special guest Gwen Hudson, District Training Manager investing our new cubs. We then moved onto presenting Jacob with his Chief Scout Silver award, well done Jacob. Our final presentation of the evening was to Andy Bass who has completed his training at Cub section and we recognised his 25 years of service to Scouting, an amazing commitment.
Our Commonwealth Games then opened with sixes competing at CD flying, Wellington Boot Toss, Water balance relay, bean bag relay, triple jump, and sixes through a hoop. The games bought out the cubs competitive spirit and each made a massive effort on behalf of their six.
Once six was outstanding and won by a mile congratulations Brown Six and congratulations all who took part for great effort and a fantastic attitude.
Next week sees us off to Marconi ponds, don’t forget your pound!
Have a great half term
