Scouts Summer Camp – the aftermath
For scouts, the Summer camp ended on Sunday when their parents picked them up. But for leaders, the post-camp tasks continued on for several days after; and that’s on top of the months of preparation beforehand.
It rained heavily on the last day, which means we had a multitude of kit to get dry before putting it back into stores.
Chris’s garden was taken over by 7 hike tents – that makes 14 pieces of tentage to dry.
The need for a large space for drying is always an issue-so thank you to 24th Chelmsford for the use of their hut to dry all the rest of the kit. Mess tents, dining shelters, poles, patrol boxes, ropes etc.
Nearly done…!
