Euroadventure 2014
Saturday saw our intrepid Cubs arriving bright and early at Riverside for a 6am departure. Boarding our coaches we were handed our bright orange beanies to be easily recogniable in a crowd. The journey flew on empty roads and we were soon aboard the chunnel for the 35 minute trip to France.
Stopping for lunch we ate sandwiches in chilly sunshine, fed the ducks and a chance to climb the sightseeing tower before heading onto Jambville and our accomodation for the weekend. Thanks to Scout Active Support we enjoyed a delicious supper before heading to bed after a truly long day.
Sunday we were up early in bright sunshine and on the coaches for our first day in Disneyland, and what an adventure. Runaway trains, Space Mountain, Star Tours, Pirates, a haunted house and halloween theme saw us through the day, it was worn out cubs, and leaders who boarded the coach, amazingly most cubs were asleep in their bunks by ten, unheard of on camp.
Monday was our second day with some tackling the Disney Studio with Stunt shows, Tower of Terror, Ratatouie, Buzz Lightyear, animagique, and cinemagique. It was a very tired bunch heading back to Jambville.
Tuesday was an early start with our kit packed away and boarding coaches for the trip home, a final chance to spend the odd Euro at Cite Europe and we headed home for our final leg arriving back at Riverside, still in our orange beanies.
An amazing experience earning 3 nights away and the chance to wear the International Badge on our uniform, hope to see mnay more for the next one.
